Double Trouble: As juju priest blocks shell gate in Port Harcourt

Three communities in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital on Thursday, September 28, blocked the entry gate of Shell Company following the firm’s refusal to obey a court order. A Facebook user, Allwell who lives in Port Harcourt shared the story. The MTN Scholarship 2017 Application Form is Out and the online registration has began. The good news here is that MTN foundation scholarship application has commence and one can apply now. President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday led dignitaries to attend a special Juma’at service in commemoration of the nation’s 57th Independence Anniversary. The service was held inside a mosque located near the President’s office at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. Buhari was joined at the prayer session by the Senate President, Bukola Saraki; and former Vice-President Namadi Sambo, among others The Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai; Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Abubakar Sadique; Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris; and Comptroller-General of Customs, Hameed Ali, also attended the service. Over 5000 Nigerians to be employed as TSTV launches October 1st

Following the mass unemployment in the country and the recent drive for the consumption of made-in-Nigeria contents, an indigenous digital satellite TV service in Nigeria,  TSTV is set to launch on the 1 st  of October, 2017, with an over  5000 Nigerians to be employed. The government of the United Kingdom has asked the Federal Government of Nigeria to state the whereabouts of British-Nigerian man and leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, saying “We are seeking urgent clarification from the Nigerian authorities about the status and whereabouts of Mr. Kanu, a British-Nigerian man, who has been reported missing since September 14,” on Thursday. IPOB supporters march with coffin to British embassy in Australia

                         In an attempt to draw the international community to the agitation in the southeastern part of Nigeria, some supporters of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) have staged a protest to the British embassy in Vienna. The protesters said they were not happy with the alleged recent killing of some Igbo people by the Nigerian security operatives under the Operation Python Dance 2. They also kicked against the invasion of Nnamdi Kanu’s home in Abia by security officials which led to the disappearance of the leader of IPOB.
