David Oyedepo was born on September 27, in 1954. He is from Omu Aran town in Kwara state.
The pastor is the founder and presiding Bishop of the Faith Tabernacle church located in Ota area of Ogun state.
Faith Tabernacle church has a wide congregation of over 50,000 members in Nigeria and more across the world.

He got married to his wife Florence Abiola Akano in 1982. They have four children David Junior, Isaac, Love and Joys.


Oyedepo is reportedly the richest preacher in Nigeria with a net worth of over $150 million as at 2011.

1. Occupation
     
Although, it is widely known that Oyedepo is a pastor, a lot of people do not know that he is also an Architect. He studied Architecture at Kwara State Polytechnic, after graduating he worked for a time at the Federal Ministry of Housing in Ilorin.

Despite the fact that he became a popular pastor, he was raised by a Muslim father, Ibrahim, and mother, Dorcas, was a member of the Eternal Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement.

3. Philanthropist
He is a well-known philanthropist. He has been known to rebuild roads and give to the community in his state.

4. Educationist

Oyedepo has established different schools in Nigeria to equip young minds with knowledge. He established Covenant University in Ota and Landmark University in Kwara state. Faith Academy secondary schools and Kingdom Heritage primary schools.

5. Author

The pastor is a published author with over seventy Christian, motivational and inspirational books. Some of his books are Pillars of Destiny, Signs and Wonders Today, Anointing for Exploits and more.
